As the county looks back on the 25th anniversary of the floods in 2000, the Kent and Medway Resilience Forum is highlighting the continued need for communities to be flood prepared, with many areas of the county remaining at high risk of similar flooding in the future.

Kent and Medway Resilience Forum partners are supporting Flood Action Week which takes place next week from 13-19 October.

The Kent and Medway Resilience Forum (KMRF) is supporting a national preparedness campaign #30days30waysUK that kicks off today and runs for the whole of September ‘Preparedness month’.

A yellow Heat-Health Alert is in force across the South East, including Kent, to 9am Tuesday (12 August). The alert will then be upgraded to amber and apply until 6pm Wednesday (13 August).
