Young people from Dartford and Gravesham have learned how to keep themselves safe and have become better prepared for emergencies thanks to a new initiative in the area led by their local Kent County Council (KCC) Community Wardens.

The Operation Brock contraflow system will be put out on to the M20 as close as possible to the busy cross-Channel getaway period to minimise disruption to residents this summer.

To mark the Volunteers' Week, the Kent and Medway Resilience Forum (KMRF) is paying tribute to its incredible Kent Voluntary Sector Emergency Group (KVSEG), which brings together front-line voluntary sector , organisations to support communities and engage in incident response and recovery.

Kent Resilience Forum (KRF) has confirmed that Operation Brock will be removed from the M20 this weekend.

Operation Brock is set to return to the M20 ahead of the winter getaway.

Business Continuity Awareness Week (BCAW) takes place from 16th-20th May 2022 and the theme is ‘Building Resilience in the Hybrid World'
